Week 7 Fantasy Avengers

Week 7 is upon us, and fantasy football is becoming a bit more predictable. With 6 weeks of data we now know which teams to target for specific match-ups and which ones to avoid. We know that Saints are not the best at guarding the tight-end, and that you should start all of your players versus the Cowboys putrid defense. We also know that the Steelers rush defense is the real deal and that the Chicago defense is here to stay. While we can do all the research and make the right call on paper, fantasy football is still a cruel mistress, who can make you regret the most chalked up start. The week 6 fantasy avengers are a testament to how chaotic fantasy is, as the Avengers went 0-4 in all of their match-ups. I hope that I can pick a better team of Avengers for this week.

I do not have a lot of time to get this posted so this is going to be short write ups for this particular article.

Devin Singletary  (Rank # 19)

This week Devin Singletary will be facing the Jets. The Jets have looked down right awful this season. Their offense is by far the worst in the league and their defense looks as if they would struggle to stop a high school football team let alone an NFL offense. The Bills are coming off a tough loss against the Chiefs and this could be the perfect get right game for them. The Bills are going to be coming in pissed off and ready to beat up on a team that gives up just over 30 points a game. I am expecting the Bills to be in a positive game script for the majority of this game, which could lead to several touches  and even a touchdown for this weeks God of Thunder.

Amari Cooper (Rank # 18)

In the first week without Dak throwing him the ball, Cooper saw a team high 10 targets. That is an encouraging sign to see right out of the gate, considering how effective he was with Prescott. This week the Cowboys travel to DC to take on the Washington Football team, in what looks to be an interesting  match-up for Cooper. The WFT is top 10 in pass yards allowed per game, which means Cooper has his work cut out for him if he's going to turn in a top 15 performance. In a pivotal divisional match-up the Cowboys are going to have to lean on Cooper in order to get the win and after seeing his target share with Dalton at the helm, I believe that Cooper has what it takes to be your week 7 Iron Man.

Joe Burrow (Rank # 15)

In Joe Burrows first match-up vs the Browns he threw for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns. This was by far Burrow's best game and it was only his second start of his young career. This week the Bengals will be hosting the Browns in a game with a 50.5 point over/under. In a game that is expected to be high scoring and with the emergence of Tee Higgins as second threat in the passing game, I can see Burrow having a great day in fantasy. With Burrows previous success versus the Browns, he is in line to be this weeks Captain America and assist in leading your team to a week 7 win.

Chase Edmonds (Rank # 30)

This weeks Hulk was a very difficult decision for me. The reason I am going with Edmonds is due to the match-up and the fact that the Cardinals will need to throw everything they have at the undefeated Seahawks to get the win on Sunday night. While Edmonds hasn't been the most involved in the Cardinals offense he has still shown flashes of brilliance in his limited work. Edmonds has been used in both the running and passing game, and he has shown just how efficient he can be in both facets of the game. The Seahawks are the second worst team in the league when it comes to receiving yards allowed per game and Edmonds' efficiency could be enough to provide a Hulk-like performance that could leave him finishing well above his running back 30 ranking.
